Empowering Vulnerable Communities Multipurpose Center Initiative

Introduction: Faith in God Charity Missions, is dedicated to advocating for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of widows, orphans, and less privileged children worldwide. We aim to establish a Multipurpose Center to provide essential food and non-food items, comprehensive livelihood training, and spiritual support, equipping beneficiaries with skills in modern hairdressing, fashion designing, traditional embroidery, manicure, pedicure, and computer training.

Context: The ongoing crisis in the English-speaking regions of Cameroon has resulted in significant educational and economic disruption. Many schools have closed, and over 700,000 children have been deprived of education. Additionally, over 712,000 people have been internally displaced, increasing poverty and unemployment, particularly among women, youths, and children.

Project Overview: The Multipurpose Center Initiative aims to empower vulnerable populations through skill-building and empowerment initiatives. By providing training in high-demand skills, the center will help individuals generate income, improve their living standards, and contribute to community development.

Objectives:

1. Empower vulnerable individuals with practical skills for income generation.

2. Enhance community development by creating employment opportunities and promoting economic growth.

Training Domains:

• Hairdressing: Professional equipment, training stations, and experienced instructors.

• Tailoring: Sewing machines, cutting tables, and skilled trainers.

• Embroidery: Dedicated workstations, marking machines, and proficient instructors.

• Farming and Small Business Development: Tools, training sessions, and support for small business startups.

Impact:

• Direct Beneficiaries: 120 individuals trained over two years.

• Indirect Beneficiaries: 360 family members benefiting from improved quality of life.

• Community Development: Job creation, economic growth, and enhanced community stability.
